Larry June Speaks on Freedom

Written by on September 27, 2021

It may take some time to figure out who you are and what your life is about, especially in the game of Hip Hop, Larry June Sums it being consistently free. Free – not under the control or in the power of another; able to act or be done as one wishes. Larry speaking on “No Jumper” says that a lot of young cats misunderstand what the game is about, it’s not about who goes to jail the most, but what’s life is going to be 5 years from now. “Who gone survive the longest, who gone stay consistent ”, “who out here being free, who living” said Larry. Being experienced in the game he realized he came up in the streets but this is not a career for him. Life bought toys like having an AMG Mercedes in your 20s but the fear of loosing your freedom at any moment loomed over his head.  Today he focuses on Hustling and living a healthy life, promoting Orjanes opposed to lean, that’s a player move. Oranges for example are a part of his brand, it’s in artwork featuring June, and that art work makes it onto merchandise.  June stays true to the hustler’s style by acknowledging those that he came up with. Rapper OG Maco was someone who went through the grind with June, coming up with plays to make cash for the “meantime”. June said rap was slow at first however he had to come up with ways to make money while rap was developing. June advocates to be true to yourself, you can be cool in your own way. An OG told me, being in another rapper’s video can get you shot, inheriting they’re beef. Watch how you move, make sure its real, make sure it authentic, if you said it be sure you meant it.
